MY HEALTH JOURNEY
My health journey has been similar to Dorothy’s journey along the Yellow Brick Road. She knew what she wanted but didn’t know how to get there. Dorothy wanted to go home, I wanted good health. I started off with one problem, but as I went along my search, other health issues also surfaced and I needed Courage like a Lion to continue looking for the answers. I tried Speech Pathology for retraining of how to use my voice, acupuncture came next, medical exams, diets, vitamins, medication for this, medication for that, reading and more reading, more acupuncture, chiropractors, more medical exams. I needed Scarecrow’s Brains to figure out why modern medicine was not able to help me, and what would be my next strategy. I met the Wicked Witch of the West and her name was cancer. My sister died of colon cancer, and like Tin Man my Heart was broken because modern medicine could not save my only sister – who was a nurse by the way. I came across many Wizards, who thought they had the answer, good intentions, but otherwise wasted my time, energy and finances. Then I too was introduced to the Good Witch of the East who pointed me in the right direction, which was always right in front of me. Like Dorothy I didn’t realize I only needed to tap my red shoes together. Just as from the beginning of creation, God has provided Essential Oils and made them available to us, we as people lost our focus and have forgotten the true path which leads home and to good health.
